Anna Strickland

Since starting with Santee Cooper in 2016, Anna Strickland has been involved in Educational Programs, Community Relations, Local Government Relations, and most recently joined the Economic Development team. She works closely with community organizations, local government entities and economic development alliances to help create an environment where established businesses thrive and new businesses can find success.

Anna has a background in public education and was previously a high school history teacher before moving back to her hometown in Horry County. She has a history degree from Campbell University and history master’s degree from the University of North Carolina - Wilmington.

Anna sits on multiple regional and local workforce and economic development boards and committees such as the South Carolina Department of Employment & Workforce Waccamaw Region Workforce Development Advisory Board, as Chair, the Myrtle Beach Regional Economic Development Corporation Prospect & Product Development Committee, and Partnership Grand Strand’s Workforce Sub-committee.
